Roger Baccus, a native of Dayton, Ohio, was blinded in childhood along with four other siblings by a crop duster while his parents were Sharecropping in North Carolina. He is one of ten. He attended the Ohio State School for the Blind along with his two brothers and two sisters. They all became accomplished musicians. Many of them were recording artists and traveled the world performing with the likes of Sam and Dave, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Ella Fitzgerald, Cecil Rucker, George Benson, Nancy Wilson, etc. Roger played with his brothers, Eddie and Ken as "The Baccus Brothers", and they all have several albums.
